Deeley Homes lays its first brick in Worcester
Deeley Homes has started work on its first development in Worcester.
The company is creating ten homes at Merchants Court in Diglis Road on the Worcester and Birmingham canal in the centre of the city.
The homes will be a mixture of town houses and apartments and will feature two, three and four bedroom homes.
Sue Green, managing director of Deeley Homes, said the company had been looking to develop in Worcester for several years.
“We have built homes right across the Midlands and well beyond, but for some reason never in Worcestershire,” she said.
“We had been looking for sites for quite a while and are delighted to have found such a good one.
“The homes have been designed very much with their canal location in mind – they all, for example, have walk-on, sit-on balconies – and we are delighted with the outcome.”
There are three, two-bedroom apartments – which feature two bathrooms – and a three-bedroom, three bathroom penthouse.
There are four two-and-half-storey, three-bedroom, three-bathroom town houses, and two three-storey houses which feature four bedrooms and three bathrooms. All the town houses have integral garages.
Green added: “We believe there is still considerable potential in Worcester. It has all the natural charm with the River Severn, wonderful architecture and very good shops.
“It is very much a city in its own right yet is so well located for the West Midlands and very close to the motorway network. In short, it has everything to encourage a thriving home market.”
The properties are expected to be ready for the autumn of this year.
Prices are expected to start at £210,000 and more details area available from agents Maitland Selwyn on 01564 784555.
