Deeley Construction defies effects of the credit crunch
Deeley Construction is defying the effects of the credit crunch after landing more than £375,000 worth of work in the space of four weeks.
Deeley has landed ten new contracts on projects across the Midlands and the south of England.
The range of works include a school refurbishment in Northamptonshire and alterations to an office scheme in Cambridge.
In Bedford, Huntingdon, Hitchin and Kettering, Deeley is working retail units and shopping centres while industrial repairs and refurbishments are being carried out in Northampton and Daventry.
Matthew Smith, of Deeley Construction, said: “There is obviously a great deal of talk about the credit crunch and that is undoubtedly affecting the house-building sector.
“However, the commercial property side of the industry is still very buoyant and that is underlined by the fact that we are enjoying a very busy period.
“Many of the new deals have come from customers that have utilised our services in the past so that is a major tribute to us to win repeat business in this way.
“The work is being carried out on a range of different buildings across quite a wide area in terms of geography.
“And, in the face of quite gloomy news nationally, we are delighted with these latest business wins.”
