Deeley Group has secured a place on the HCA’s Delivery Partner Panel 3.
The HCA DPP3 is valued at £8 billion in housing and associated development over the next four years, doubling the forecast for spending from the previous framework value.
Deeley Group has successfully secured a place on the three lots applied for in the Midlands, South & South West and East & South East regions, which between them have a combined estimated value of £5.3 billion.
The Deeley Group has offered land, finance, design and build options to housing associations for decades.
In recent years, it has delivered over 550 affordable, private rental and extra care homes for the likes of Orbit Homes, Waterloo Housing, and Stonewater.

One of Stratford’s largest landlords and developers, Orbit, is celebrating its first venture into the Private Rented Sector with the opening of Fordham House in the heart of the town.
Located on the corner of Birmingham Road and Clopton Road, Fordham House opened its doors to the public on Friday 15 September with a VIP event co-officiated by local MP Nadhim Zahawi and Chris Crook, Orbit Homes Board Chair.
Opening the development, Nadhim Zahawi MP said: “I was delighted to formally open Fordham House and see the culmination of the innovative project that I visited earlier on during construction. Fordham House comprises 82 high-quality apartments and has been developed by Orbit in partnership with Deeley Construction, ABD Developments and Stratford Town Trust and offers enviable priority accommodation to the town’s key workers and locals.

Coventry’s bid to be UK City of Culture is building momentum – with businesses in the region helping to drive home the message.
The Deeley Group – the development, construction and property company based in the city – has been on board with bid from day one by hosting events, signing up as 2021 Club members and encouraging others to do so.
The firm is now taking Coventry’s City of Culture message with it across the streets and sites of the region by showing support on its fleet of vans ahead of the final decision in December.
The logo stickers were provided by Moseley Signs and now adorn six of the company’s vehicles that are working on sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider Midlands area.
Edward Hudson, of the Deeley Group, said: “Ever since Coventry announced it would be bidding to be UK City of Culture in 2021, we have been firmly behind it.
“We can see the huge benefits it would bring to the city – socially, economically and culturally – and we want to play a part in it. As well as joining as 2021 Club members, we’ve looked to raise awareness of the bid with fellow businesses through events and through publicity.

Orbit’s staff and partners have raised more than £23,700 in aid of sickle cell disease in their seventh annual charity golf day.
Sponsored in the main by Deeley Construction, Wright Hassall and A C Lloyd, over 180 guests teed off at the Warwickshire Golf & Country Club in Leek Wootton, Warwick, raising thousands for Sickle Cell Society. A cheque for £23,727.08 was presented to John Jones, CEO of the charity at Orbit’s Coventry office.
Mark Hoyland, Orbit’s Chief Executive, and George Obeng-Manu, Orbit’s Development Contracts Director and golf day organiser, presented the cheque. Mark said: “I am delighted to present the Sickle Cell Society with this generous donation in our seventh year of holding the event. Over the years we’ve raised around £150,000 for a number of charities and we will continue to do so as part of our commitment to supporting local people and communities.”

Sickle Cell Society is a charity organisation that supports and represents people affected by the blood disorder to improve their overall quality of life.

A boom in infrastructure projects is set to keep output in the West Midlands construction industry growing over the next five years, according to a report.
The forecast from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) says that road and rail projects will see output in the infrastructure sector soaring by more than 10% each year over the 2017-2021 period.
The massive £11 billion High Speed 2 rail link will make a substantial contribution to the gain, says CITB’s Construction Skills Network report.
A £1.8bn road improvement programme will also give the sector a boost, with works including the £335m motorway upgrades to the M6.
The CITB says that these big projects mean that overall construction output is forecast to grow at an annual average rate of 1.3% per year for the next five years, with 14,000 jobs created.
Its report forecasts that the most in-demand roles in the West Midlands construction sector between 2017-21 include carpenters, electricians, and construction process managers (+1,550). There will also be significant demand for scaffolders, construction trades supervisors, labourers and surveyors.

Deeley has performed strongly in the education sector in recent years undertaking projects for
both The University of Warwick and Coventry University, Warwick School, Warwickshire College Group and various academies.
One project – the creation of student accommodation at Warwickshire College Group’s Royal Leamington Spa College campus – only came to fruition because of Deeley’s contacts and experience in dealing with pension and investment funds.
Peter added: “The college was looking to a development team in the private sector to fund such a scale of operation. So we put forward a structured package of funding, designing and building of the units. After talks with the college, the fund we introduced purchased 100 existing student units and we are building 100 now.
“So the funder will end with an investment of 200 student units in a very good location in the centre of Leamington, where property values make that an attractive investment proposition.
“The significance is that it really shows what local companies can provide when it comes to need. In short, if you have the requirement for a new building or housing there are always ways of providing funding and the ability to deliver.
“It is a specialised area but we understand the way the funds need to be structured. We believe we have an overall view of development that allows us to structure a package so all requirements are met. The college has its student accommodation, Deeley Construction is completing a sizeable building contract and the funder has a good investment.”
The CITB public non-housing sector is forecast to grow at an annual average rate of 3.6% in the short-term. A number of large projects will support expansion including the £500m Birmingham University campus redevelopment and a £37m science and health building at
Coventry University, due for completion this year, says the CITB.
Lorraine Gregory, CITB Partnerships Manager for the West Midlands, said: “Although there is economic uncertainty, the West Midlands construction sector is set for growth, particularly in infrastructure.
“The outlook is positive because of a number of major projects either under way or in the pipeline. The biggest is HS2 which will provide multiple spin-offs in housing, business and recruitment opportunities.
“These projects and the job opportunities contractors are telling us about means this is a very good time to pursue a career in the construction industry.
“CITB will continue working with employers to attract new talent into the construction industry and to train them for rewarding careers in the sector.”

Victoria Prentis MP was on hand to witness the start of construction of the new Kingsmere Community and Youth Centre during a visit to the development.
The Member of Parliament laid down the first brick, accompanied by the Leader of Cherwell District Council, Cllr Barry Wood and Chair of Policy, Cllr. Richard Mould.
Plans for the Centre were approved at the beginning of the year, with Deeley Construction recently appointed by Countryside Properties (Bicester) Ltd to carry out the construction.
The Kingsmere Community and Youth Centre forms part of a brand new Village Centre planned to bring several new facilities, including a day nursery, convenience store, outdoor space and four additional retail units to the development.
There will also be a community recycling centre located within the Kingsmere Village Centre along with bicycle and car parking spaces.

Deeley Construction has helped take Orbit over the half-way point to achieving its target of developing 12,000 new homes by 2020.
The handover and completion of three family homes at Union Park, in Leamington Spa, means one of the UK’s largest developing housing associations has now delivered 6,000 new homes since April 2013.
Union Park is a £29m development of 147 family homes on the former Soans’ motor dealership site in Sydenham, and is due for completion in spring 2018.
Martin Gallagher, managing director at Deeley Construction, said: “We are extremely proud that we are helping Orbit reach this milestone which is of national importance in the campaign to solve our housing crisis.

Deeley Construction has landed a £2.9million contract to build a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Buckinghamshire.
The company has been appointed by Leamington-based developer AC Lloyd to create a new 40,000 sq ft complex on land in Princes Risborough.
The property will be occupied by iLECSYS, a multi-disciplined company working predominantly within the electrical control sector. Its main areas of operation include electrical distribution products, rail, hazardous area, engineering and sheet metal fabrication.
Work has just started on-site and the build is scheduled to be completed in February 2018.
Martin Gallagher, managing director of Deeley Construction, said: “We are very pleased to be working with AC Lloyd once again.
“The two companies have developed a very strong relationship and this adds to the range of schemes we have worked on together, which include a bus depot and a college teaching block.”
He added: “There is a train line and woodland nearby but we have put measures in place to ensure we are a considerate neighbour to both of those and there is also a furniture manufacturer nearby and we will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum for the company.
“Work is now underway on-site and we are looking forward to delivering another successful project for AC Lloyd.”
iLECSYS Group is relocating from its current site in Tring, which has been its home for the last 15 years. A total of 50 members of staff from its head office will be re-locating to the company’s new location in February.
